So I’m going to keep this brief as this is really me taking a break from playing more of Metal Gear Solid 5, but I’m going to spend that break talking about some of the crazy things you can do (and see) fairly early on in the game.

For starters, each episode (or mission) starts and ends with opening and ending credits like as if it were, well, an episode of tv show. Complete with “starring” and “guest starring”, the whole thing is just another example of the absurdity that goes into the franchise (thank you Kojima).
Almost everything else that ridiculous about the first couple hours of the game involve the mechanic of extraction. Once you complete your first mission you get access to the Fulton, essentially a ballon you can attach to objects (or people) to have extracted and sent to Mother Base, your base of operations. But seriously just watch this montage.
Now this mechanic is honestly so satisfying that you’ll want to do it over and over again (with people). This is also how I ended up kidnapping a puppy which has become new mascot (unofficially) of Diamond Dogs named DD (figure out what that stands for).

Oh, and your horse has armour… enjoy!
