This is going to be a short update post as there isn’t much going in the month of August. As of writing this post, there isn’t anything that I’m dying to see or play. Sure No Man’s Sky is finally coming out after it’s unexpected delay, but I don’t know if I want to buy into the hype if it turns out that all that lies in the cosmos is indeed a vast nothingness. And while I will be watching the Olympics from time to time (Go Canada), I’m not exactly brimming with excitement right now with all the horror stories coming out of Rio days before it starts. So what does that mean for the blog? Well, it means that if you thought July was somewhat sparse for content, then August is probably going to be more of the same. Which for the sake of my sanity isn’t a terrible thing right now.
That’s not to say there won’t be any posts. Stuff will inevitably happen that I’ll want to talk about, similar to the madness with Pokémon Go. Gamescom is coming up in a couple of weeks, and maybe we’ll get some exciting news out of that. With that said, nearly all the major players are skipping Gamescom this year, similar to how some passed on E3. Still, Blizzard will be there and in my eyes, they can’t seem to do anything wrong right now. Sorry, I’ll stop being a fanboy.
There’s also a high chance that I’m forgetting about something big that’s coming out this month that’s right up my alley. My brain right now is so fried right now that this is a distinct possibility. Perhaps my focus for this month is to take better care of myself. I haven’t been doing so well about that. I blame Overwatch.
Overwatch aside, I will be trying to catch up on games that I’ve purchased recently and haven’t had a chance to play yet. Maybe get through those recent Steam Summer Sale purchases that I made. Or perhaps finally get around to finishing the Far Harbor DLC for Fallout 4. Or maybe just keep playing Overwatch because it’s Overwatch.
The long and short of it is I don’t know what I’m going to be writing about this month and who knows what will happen. Either way, hope you stick around!
